As we live each day through this #covid19 pandemic. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank those working in the frontline and for their great work and sacrifices. We are all indebted to them.
I wrote this poem to show my appreciation. I hope they like it.
You are the Soldiers of today
We rise each day to the morning sun
And went about our daily run
Meeting people along the way
Sharing smiles throughout the day
Then one day came when we were tested
People fell and many rested
Our lives changed forevermore
We couldn’t move with our own endeavours
You came and stood before us all
Shielding us from eternal fall
You suffer pain yet You move on
Your bravery clear
Your courage shone
You are the Soldiers of today
You fight for us
You fight for all
No matter what the future hold
You stand steadfast
You stand tall
You are the Soldiers of today
You are the Soldiers of our sorrow
We stand united with all of You
We stand united for our tomorrow
You are the Soldiers of today
and Our tomorrow
