This year, RP Wind Symphony was invited to be part of the Band Fiesta @ Gardens by the Bay organized by the BDAS on 27 and 28 July 2019. When we received the invite, my initial thought was to turn it down as the first years had just came in and have not fully settled in yet. Then I realized that this opportunity is actually what we needed to focus the band’s attention to practice, target setting and performance. So I said yes!
This last month, post mid-semester assessments in June, has been an amazing journey for the band. I see the band members getting closer, the first years bonding, the music getting better and everyone feeling happy and excited about playing for the Band Fiesta.
Don’t take my word for it. Come and watch us play at the Bayfront Plaza (SG50 Lattice), Gardens by the Bay this Sunday! We perform on Sunday, 28 July at 1:00pm and there are also 5 other fantastic bands for your listening pleasure. The best part of all this? It’s FREE! So come on down and join in on the celebrations.

Take Exit C and head towards bus stop no. 03223 located at International Plaza, Anson Road
Hop onto bus 400 and alight at bus stop no. 03371 along Marina Gardens Drive

FROM THE HELIX BRIDGE TOWARDS THE ART SCIENCE MUSEUM
Follow the footpath which leads under the East Coast Parkway (ECP), which will bring you directly into Bay South Garden along the waterfront.
FROM MARINA BAY SANDS
Walk across the overhead bridge (Lions Bridge) located at Marina Bay Sands Hotel (open daily from 8.00am to 11.00pm), or take the underground linkway via Bayfront MRT Station (Exit B).
