This Inaugural session by the SWS Youth will be held this Sunday, 26 March 2017 starting at 10:30am at Level 2, Ulu Pandan Community Club (UPCC). I will be working with Mr Adrian Tan, Music Director of the SWS for this event. There are 10 participants for the day and I am looking forward to working with them on their baton technique and engagement with the ensemble. I am eager to share what I have learnt from the recently concluded BHSO Conducting Masterclass with Maestro Tsung Yeh with the young participants.
These type of activities are rare but slowly growing in prominence. I truly believe that there should be more organised to help young and eager conductors improve on their art and passion. Leadership from the podium is a demanding role and there are very little avenues for training and exposure. I would like to thank Mr Adrian Tan and the SWS Youth for hosting this event.
