… to Symphonie de Republique IX! of course π
What is going through my mind?… What should we do next!
Looking back, what were the set objectives for this concert?
- To provide a platform for the participants of the Woodlands Young Conductors Workshop 2016 to showcase themselves. Checked.
- To provide both Cconcertmasters (CM) Β the opportunity to be recognized. Checked.
- To showcase synergy and cooperation in the Arts groups in TRCC. Checked.
- To provide an opportunity for RPWS to perform in the Theatre so that more friends and family can attend and show support and encouragement. Checked.
- For me… to perform Machu Picchu – City in the Sky. Checked.
I must acknowledged the tremendous work done by Justica and her team. The committee is a well-oiled machine and they are relentless in getting things done well. They truly deserve much credit for the success of the Wind Symphony this year.
Fauzi as CM, is continuing the tradition of musical excellence and leadership expected of a CM of RPWS. Mr Brando Tan has trained him well and I am really happy he joined RPWS during his study here at RP. He has tremendous potential and I wish him the very best in his future music endeavours. RPWS is proud of the 2-year Concermaster program which provides the opportunity for a student to receive guidance in conducting over his or her term as Concertmaster.
I would like to thank the Alumni and friends who joined us for this concert. They lifted the show to a new high for RPWS.
