Course description:
Participants will be exposed to the different ways of conducting chosen repertoire and share in ideas of music making and podium leadership. Participants will also be exposed to the importance of good posture while conducting on the podium and effective non-verbal communication.
Course Repertoire:
(A) Choose a movement from the following:
1. English Folk Song Suite by Ralph Vaughan Williams
2. Irish Tune from County Derry by Percy Aldridge Grainger
3. Danceries by Kenneth Hesketh
(B) One choice piece that is 5-6 mins in duration. (Grade 3-4)
1. Choice piece must be informed to the organizer by 1 Jul 2015.
2. If the piece is not available in RPWS library, candidate must provide the music score to the band for prep by 1 Aug 2015.
Proceedings:
1. Each candidate will be given 15 minutes before and after lunch to work on list A and B. Total duration per candidate is 30 minutes for the workshop.
2. Candidates must arrive at the venue no later than 9:45am on the day itself for registration.

2. Successful candidates will be contacted no later than 15 Jul 2015.
