Today I tried making this for breakfast! Here are the ingredients:

3 eggs, chopped chicken ham, chopped button mushrooms, a slice of cheese cut into halves

Steps:

Whisk lightly the eggs and sprinkle a little salt and pepper. Set aside and heat up the frying pan.

Pour in some olive oil and fry the mushrooms and ham for a couple of minutes. Pour in the eggs and using a spatula, spread the egg evenly. Place the cheese on one side and fold the eggs other side of the eggs.

Put on the plate and eat!… It was sadly, a little salty 😦

Haha….

Now you must wonder why I just did this? So did I until it dawned on me….

Making the omelette was like conducting any piece of music! Actually, there are so many similarities between cooking and conducting! After analyzing what I did when I was cooking, I realized I did not need to put in the salt as the ham would already have been a little salty in the first place and would have made the dish just right. I should have considered the balance of the ingredients too. I may have used too much of ham 😛

Now, when I conduct my next score, I will think of what I need to do to the piece to ensure that it becomes a “delicious dish” for both my musicians and audience.

Thanks for reading this!

I would really appreciate your thoughts too!
